Description:
From the manufacturer: This high-speed zoom lens was specially developed for demanding photography with digital SLR cameras equipped with an APS-C sensor.
The 5x zoom in a compact, lightweight lens makes it an ideal companion for camera enthusiasts who do not want to take a lot of equipment with them and have to leave one fixed focal length or another at home.

Pros:
sharp, great APS-C range, light
Cons:
tendancy to vignet, variable/slow aperture
This is a great outdoors lens - nearly perfect if stopped down to f/5.6. Variable (and slow) apertures drive me nuts. It's a nice compact package with great range. The score is only as low as it is because of three things: vignetting, less than "zeiss" build quality, and variable aperture. Really, for the cost, these few things are to be expected. I'm sure people here expect only the highest quality, and giving this lens a 8 or 9 wouldn't be comparing it to it's peers here on this website.
